These biodegradable bags made from potato starch are pedal bin liners that each hold 15 litres of household waste. Made from fully compostable plastic, the biodegradable bags will decompose completely within 90 days in normal compost conditions.
For larger families/businesses, the 15 litre bags can also be used to collect food waste for composting, where a caddy and liner are too small.
These sturdy compostable bin liners have the strength of other non biodegradable bags for up to one week in the swing bin under normal household use. They are strong enough to carry to the bin without risk of tearing in the same way as a normal bin liner.
The 15 litre biodegradable bags can be used for:
Swing bin liners.
Kitchen and vegetable waste.
Garden weeds etc.
Kerbside Collection where available.
Storing shredded paper for home composting etc.
Compostable biodegradable plastic bags are manufactured from over 60% sustainable potato crop material.

do not correctly fit my bins which measure 400 mm highx260mm widex180 deep. GREEN EAST REPLY: Thank you. We have looked into average bin sizes today, spoken with the manufacturer. Hopefully this will be sorted by extending the height of the bags on the next run to account for taller 15 litre bin sizes with room to lip over the rim.
